Yesterday evening. A new concert venue in Amsterdam, Splendor. The result of musicians taking matter into their own hands. Small, comfortable, inviting and as audience we felt part of the family. A family consisting of a string quartet, the best jazz-trompettist of the Netherlands, an opera-non-diva and a musical inspirator on piano. Their music a true cross over of all genre’s. Simply poetic reflections of vulnerable encounters. Friends making music. If ever, their display is a beautiful example of what happens when open-minded professionals meet! Just so!
